Auburndale girls basketball finds balanced scoring in win over Assumption

Apaches earn first Marawood South victory

AUBURNDALE — Ten different Auburndale players scored as the Apaches beat Wisconsin Rapids Assumption 48-35 in a Marawood Conference South Division girls basketball game Friday night at Auburndale High School.
Auburndale is now 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Marawood South. Assumption drops to 3-3 and 1-2 in the conference.
Mackenzie Raab and Rachael Bolder each scored nine points, and Marissa Ponshock added eight in a balanced scoring attack for Auburndale.
Erin Sullivan topped the Royals with 10 points.
Auburndale’s next game is Thursday at Pittsville.
