MARSHFIELD — Main Street Marshfield’s sixth annual Hot Chocolate Run/Walk will be held Dec. 10 at 4 p.m. Registration takes place at the Chestnut Center for the Arts.

Last year’s event hit record numbers with over 400 runners taking off in downtown Marshfield and heading through the Rotary Winter Wonderland lights. 2015 was the first time the run took place in the evening so that runners and walkers could enjoy the glistening wonderland lights. Along the route, people will be served hot chocolate and listen to holiday tunes.

“We get runners dressed up in Santa outfits, ugly sweaters, elf costumes. Everyone gets festive and just has a lot of fun with this event,” stated Main Street Executive Director Angie Eloranta. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Marshfield Sunrise Rotary Club’s clean water project.

Registration for the event is available online at mainstreetmarshfield.com. The cost is $30 per runner, and a knit pompom hat and water bottle are included with registration. For further questions contact Main Street Marshfield at 715-387-3299 or [email protected]
