MARSHFIELD — Ryan Krueger hit for a hat trick, including two goals in a four-score second period, to lift the Marshfield boys hockey team to a 6-4 nonconference win over Tomahawk on Tuesday night at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Krueger scored the only goal in the first period and netted another in the opening minute of the second period. After Tomahawk rallied to tie it, Adam Maki, Justin Stanek, and Krueger added goals in a 1½-minute stretch.

Tomahawk rallied again to cut the Tigers’ lead to one before Maki added a goal with 2:46 remaining to put away the victory for Marshfield (2-2).

Marshfield is back in action next Tuesday, Dec. 6, when it opens Wisconsin Valley Conference play at Stevens Point.
