Marshfield boys hockey shut out at Tomah

Tigers fall to 1-2 with loss in tournament final

Sports Reporter

TOMAH — Tomah scored a pair of goals in the first period, and it held up as it defeated Marshfield 2-0 in the championship game of the Tomah Boys Hockey Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Ben Borreson scored 4:50 into the game, and Noah Nick added a goal 10 minutes later for the game’s only goals.

Marshfield had 23 shots on goal, all of which were saved by Tomah goalie Paul Vender.

Marshfield goalie A.J. Trierweiler had 35 saves in the loss.

Marshfield (1-2) hosts Tomahawk in a nonconference game Tuesday.
