James J. Hasenohrl, Sr.

James J. Hasenohrl, Sr., 84, Auburndale, died on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016 at his home.
Burial took place in the parish cemetery where military rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6352 and serving as pallbearers were grandsons, Chad Fredrick, Brian Wendt, John Puzz, Dustin Hasenohrl, Michael Bradley, Samuel Hasenohrl and Andrew Hasenohrl.
James was born on Oct. 23, 1932 in Auburndale, the son of John and Anna (Schneider) Hasenohrl, where he attended St. Mary’s Parochial School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, stationed in Germany. Jim had been employed as a mechanic and then at Weyerhaeuser Company for over 30 years. He also farmed in the Town of Auburndale. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6352. He was a very good mechanic and could fix anything. He enjoyed tractors and polka music.
Jim is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marlene, and their children, Dianne (Dennis) Puzz of Auburndale, Tammy (Randy) Fredrick of Marshfield, Lori (Alan) Kieffer of Stratford, Timothy (Jeri Lynn) Hasenohrl of Auburndale, James (Buffy) Hasenohrl, Jr. of Arpin, Heidi (Scott) Bradley of Milladore, Paul (Jill) Hasenohrl of Auburndale and David (Theresa) Hasenohrl of Auburndale. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. He is further survived by a sister, Marie Hasenoehrl and a brother Michael (Patricia) Hasenohrl.
He was predeceased by his parents, 2 sons, Mark and Thomas Hasenohrl, 7 brothers, George, Elmer, Clarence, Edward, Frank, William, and Robert and a sister, Petronella Bredl.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital, Atrium Post Acute Care, Aspirus Home Care and all the private care givers especially Char and Cheryl.
