Grand opening for library to be held Sunday

MARSHFIELD — On Sunday, Nov. 13 at noon, the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library is celebrating its grand opening.
A special ceremony, music, a story time by an honored guest, refreshments, and tours are all part of the celebration.
The new library features improved technology with WiFi throughout the facility, study rooms with 4K WiFi smart TVs, a children’s program room, a genealogy and local history room, a young adult/teen area, and many sunny reading areas. The building also has a fireside quiet reading room along with enlarged spaces for large print, teen, and children’s collections.
The grand opening ceremony recognizes and thanks donors, volunteers, and all who were involved in the building of this facility. In keeping with this celebration of thanks, the library is hosting an appreciation event recognizing other library supporters as well as the many community organizations and individuals who make Marshfield special.
Marshfield musician joe g. will play from 1-2 p.m. Guest Susan A. Nelson will be presenting a story time at 2 p.m. in the children’s play area followed by a country line dancing demonstration along with food and other activities.
