Wednesday, Oct. 26

Missing 25-year-old located

Police received a report at 9:18 a.m. that a 25-year-old Marshfield woman had been missing since 12:01 a.m. A 78-year-old Marshfield woman, who reported the incident, stated that a man came to her residence at 12:01 a.m. and said that he was a police detective and that he needed to get a written statement from the 25-year-old.

He said it would take no longer than an hour, and the 25-year-old left with the man. The 78-year-old had not been able to contact the 25-year-old since she left.

A missing person report was filled out and faxed to dispatch, and an attempt to locate message was sent to adjoining counties.

The 25-year-old was later located in Adams County. A 35-year-old man was taken to Wood County Jail on charges of impersonating a police officer.

Thursday, Oct. 27

Marshfield man violates bond conditions

At 12:03 a.m. a Marshfield woman requested police assistance in removing an intoxicated 32-year-old Marshfield man from her residence. The man was out on bond with conditions of absolute sobriety.

Officers arrested the man and brought him to the Marshfield Police Department, where he refused to cooperate with booking procedures. Probation and Parole was contacted and placed a hold on the man.

The man was transported to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office Jail. A request for charges will be sent to the district attorney’s office for three counts of bail jumping.

Friday, Oct. 28

Stolen iPad sold

At 1:05 p.m. a Marshfield man reported that he had purchased an iPad from a man and a woman, and he believed the iPad may have been stolen after a message appeared on the home screen and the iPad was then locked. An officer knew the sellers’ names from prior contacts.

The officer was able to identify the owner of the iPad and made contact with the sellers.

Saturday, Oct. 29

Subjects cited for disturbance, one arrested for warrant

Police responded at 1:37 a.m. to a report of a verbal and physical altercation involving several subjects on the 400 block of S. Central Ave. The subjects involved were interviewed and given citations for disorderly conduct.

A 32-year-old Trempealeau County man had a warrant and was arrested. He posted the necessary bond and was released.

Marshfield man taken into custody for felony warrant

Police took a 36-year-old Marshfield man into custody at his residence for a valid felony warrant. The man was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and then brought to Wood County Jail. Charges were requested through the Wood County DA’s office.

Monday, Oct. 31

Man with warrant posts bond

At 3:27 p.m. a 27-year-old Marshfield man with a valid Clark County warrant was arrested at the Marshfield Police Department. The man was booked and then released after posting the required bond of $152.70.

Husband: Wife too drunk to be let into residence

A 43-year-old Marshfield woman called police at 8:36 p.m. to report that her husband, a 43-year-old from Marshfield, would not let her into their apartment because she was too drunk. An officer spoke with the man, and he did not want to let the woman back in because he feared a fight would ensue.

The woman said the man had also been drinking, and he acknowledged that he had. Both subjects refused to provide a breath sample.

It was agreed that the woman would stay at a neighbor’s residence for the evening.

Tuesday, Nov. 1

Marshfield man arrested following altercation

Police responded at 12:16 p.m. to a report of a fight on the 1400 block of N. Central Ave. After officers arrived, located the parties involved, and interviewed witness, a 23-year-old Marshfield man was arrested for disorderly conduct and a probation hold.

He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, where he became agitated and uncooperative. He was then brought to Wood County Jail. Charges are being requested through the Wood County DA’s office.
