MARSHFIELD — Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, part of Ascension, recently held its Walk to Remember, an annual event to raise awareness of pregnancy and infant loss.

More than 80 participants gathered at Wildwood Park & Zoo for the event to remember all babies that have died during pregnancy, at birth, or shortly after birth.

October was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and the walk was part of Ministry Saint Joseph’s Children’s Hospital’s Together, Learning to Cope (TLC) bereavement program, sponsored by Ministry Saint Joseph’s Foundation.

The program includes support group meetings four times per year. The next will be Nov. 13 from 6:30-8 p.m. in conference room K at Ministry Saint Joseph’s. There are also two memorial services per year in the hospital chapel.

TLC is available to parents and family members no matter where they are in their grief process and no matter how long it has been since their loss.

For more information call Ministry Saint Joseph’s Birth Center at 715-387-7071 or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at 715-387-7083.
