Marshfield fifth at 2016 Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Swim Meet

Koehn, Holbrook earn top-five finishes for Tigers

STEVENS POINT — Sophie Koehn and Elizabeth Holbrook had a pair of top-five finishes as Marshfield took fifth place at the 2016 Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Swim Meet on Thursday at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Koehn was third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:03.76 and fifth in the 200 freestyle in 2:06.19, and Holbrook took fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.95 and fifth in the 200 individual medley in 2:20.94 for Marshfield’s top finishes.

Stevens Point won the meet title and overall conference championship in combination with the dual meet season. Marshfield finished fifth in the overall standings as well.

Koehn, Holbrook, Valerie Kushnir, and Megan Donahue were sixth in the 200 medley relay (2:00.35), and Koehn, Holbrook, Erika Roeglin, and Donahue were seventh in the 200 freestyle relay (1:50.04) for Marshfield’s other top-10 finishes.

Marshfield will compete at the WIAA Division 1 sectional on Nov. 5 at Hudson.
