Columbus Catholic volleyball tops Wild Rose to win WIAA Division 4 regional title

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team is moving on to sectionals after a commanding 3-0 win over Wild Rose in a WIAA Division 4 regional final Saturday night at Columbus Catholic High School.

The Dons swept the three sets by identical 25-16 scores to move on to a sectional semifinal at Wisconsin Rapids Assumption against four-time defending Division 4 state champion Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday at 7 p.m. The winner will take on either Florence or Bowler in a sectional final Oct. 29 at Stevens Point Area Senior High School.
