SPENCER — Altoona swept Spencer 3-0 in the first-place match of the Cloverbelt Conference volleyball crossovers on Thursday night at Spencer High School.

Altoona, champions of the Cloverbelt West Division, topped the East Division champ Rockets 25-20, 25-10, 25-18.

Jenna Schober had eight kills and 18 digs, Jenna Rogers had 23 digs, and Sadie Mercier and McKenzie Bainer each had eight assists for Spencer.

“We played two solid games versus an awesome opponent,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “Hopefully the girls know they can compete with anyone if they give it their all.”

Spencer will open the WIAA playoffs with a Division 3 regional quarterfinal at home Tuesday against Tri-County.
