Child dies from farm accident

NEILLSVILLE — On Oct. 12 at about 6:04 p.m., the Clark County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of 1-year-old that was run over by a horse. The caller advised the child was breathing but was in and out of consciousness. The accident had taken place at N8501 Owen Ave. in the township of Eaton.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene with the Greenwood Area Ambulance and the Saint Joseph’s Hospital Spirit ground ambulance.
The child was transported to the Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where the child died from its injuries.
Initial investigation indicates that the child was inside the barn with its father when the accident happened.
The Clark County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Offices are continuing investigation into the incident.
