Columbus Catholic volleyball loses Cloverbelt crossover to McDonell

Baierl has 16 kills for Dons

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team was swept by Chippewa Falls McDonell in the second-place match of the Cloverbelt Conference crossovers on Tuesday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
McDonell won 25-21, 25-19, 25-21.
Jennifer Reigel and Natalie Pospyhalla each had 13 assists, Maren Seefluth had 13 digs, and Kendra Baierl had 16 kills to lead the Dons in each category. Celine Scholin added 10 kills, and Reigel had nine digs for Columbus.
The match ends the Dons’ regular-season schedule, and Columbus Catholic will learn its WIAA postseason seeding on Wednesday.
