Dons finish 6-1 in Cloverbelt East

MARSHFIELD — Kendra Baierl had 22 of Columbus Catholic’s kills to lift the Dons to a 3-1 win over Loyal in its Cloverbelt Conference East Division season finale Thursday night at home.

The Dons won 25-13, 25-18, 23-25, 25-11 to end the conference season with a 6-1 record and a second-place finish.

Celine Scholin added 12 kills, Sierra Litwaitis had 14 digs, and setters Jennifer Reigel (21) and Natalie Pospyhalla (19) combined for 40 assists for Columbus.

Columbus Catholic will compete in a Cloverbelt Conference crossover next Thursday before opening WIAA playoff action the following week.
