Marshfield’s No. 1 doubles team moves on to WIAA Division 1 girls sectional

Gadke-Schultz reach semifinals at subsectional to advance

WAUSAU — Marshfield’s No. 1 doubles team of freshman Hanah Gadke and senior Ashley Schultz reached the semifinals to move on at the WIAA Division 1 girls tennis subsectionals Monday at Wausau West High School.

Gadke and Schultz play at the Division 1 sectional Tuesday at Stevens Point Area Senior High.

All of Marshfield’s four singles players and the other two doubles teams were eliminated at the subsectional.

Individual match results were not provided.

No. 1: Emily Luetschwager (SP) 26-0; Katie Nelson (MER) 7-10; Ivy Packard (RH) 17-7; Sami Miles (WE) 16-2.

No. 2: Sabrina Tang (SP) 27-0; Savannah Carroll (WE) 14-0.

No. 3: Kayla Stutesman (SP) 24-2; Belinda Weddle (RH) 25-2.

No. 4: Leah Olsen (SP) 23-2; Leah Blaskowski (WE) 11-3.

Doubles

No. 1: Suzie DeBot-Emily Meier (SP) 10-4; Hanah Gadke-Ashley Schultz (MAR) 6-6; Kaitlyn Hess-McKenzie Wentland (WR) 16-4; Lilia Teske-Sarah Snoeyenbos (WW) 9-1.

No. 2: Madison DeBot-Taylor Knoczal (SP) 9-1; Chloe Westberg-Quinn Lodholtz (WE) 10-4.

No. 3: Lillie James-Baylee Bruneau (SP) 11-2; Erin Achatz-Kylie Rennie (WW) 12-5.
