MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield boys soccer team won for the third time in its last four games with a 5-1 nonconference victory over Rhinelander on Tuesday at Griese Park.

Luke McCann scored three times in the first half, Klaus Friedli had a goal and three assists, and Hunter McManus added a goal and two assists for the Tigers, who are now 7-5-3. Marshfield is 3-0-1 in the last four days.

Marshfield has its offense rolling again, outshooting Rhinelander 35-9 overall and 18-6 on goal, as it handed the Hodags their first loss of the season (6-1-1).

McCann scored in the 13th, 32nd, and 41st minutes for Marshfield, which took a 3-0 lead into halftime.

After a Rhinelander goal, Friedli and McManus scored 24 seconds apart with less than 5 minutes to go to ice it.
