Columbus Catholic volleyball finishes 4-2 at Abbotsford Invite

Pospyhalla has 94 assists for Dons

ABBOTSFORD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic volleyball team went 4-2 at the Abbotsford Invitational on Saturday at Abbotsford High School.

The Dons beat Chippewa Falls McDonell 2-1, Loyal 2-1, Colby 2-1, and Waupaca 2-0, and they lost to Stratford 2-1 and Abbotsford 2-1.

Kendra Baierl had 81 kills and 19 blocks, Celine Scholin added 48 kills and 18 blocks, and Maddie DeSmet had 20 kills for Columbus.

Natalie Pospyhalla had a team-high 94 assists, Jennifer Reigel added 47, and Sierra Litwaitis led the defense with 93 digs for the Dons.

Columbus plays at Greenwood in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division match Tuesday before hosting Spencer on Thursday.

Stratford also competed at the tournament. Results for the Tigers were not provided.
