Columbus Catholic soccer beats Tri-County for 10th-straight win

Nine Dons score in shutout victory

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team improved to 10-0 overall and 5-0 in the Mid-State Soccer Conference with a 10-0 rout of Tri-County on Monday at Griese Park.

Jose Martin had two goals, the first two in his high school career, and eight other players tallied scores for the Dons, who outshot Tri-County 44-2 overall and 28-0 on goal.

Ryan Dieringer scored just 54 seconds into the game, and the Dons raced out to a 7-0 lead by halftime. Dylan Porter also scored his first career goal in the win.

Columbus Catholic plays another Mid-State game at Stevens Point Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Portage County Soccer Complex.
