Rockets improve to 2-0 in Cloverbelt East

By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

LOYAL — The Spencer volleyball team won its second-straight Cloverbelt Conference East Division match with a 3-0 sweep of Loyal on Thursday night at Loyal High School.

The Rockets won 25-19, 25-20, 25-21 to improve to 2-0 in the conference. Loyal is now 0-2.

“We played a nice team match tonight,” Spencer coach Buff Heller said. “We stayed positive when we struggled, and that kept us on the winning side of things.”

Liz Endreas had 10 kills, Sadie Mercier had 18 assists, and Jenna Rogers had 30 digs to lead Spencer in those categories.

Spencer is off until next Thursday when it hosts Greenwood.
