MACCI offers third annual Light Up the Night Glow Walk

For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Sponsored by the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry, people of all ages are invited to participate in the Light Up the Night annual community 2K or 5K walk on Sept. 17.
Held in conjunction with the Marshfield Convention & Visitors Bureau’s Maple Fall Fest, the walk begins in the parking lot of Pick ‘n Save at 641 S. Central Ave. Registration will be held from 6:30-7:30 p.m., and the walk starts at 8 p.m.
Walkers will travel south on the sidewalks of Central Avenue, south on Roddis Avenue, west on 17th Street, and on into Wildwood Park & Zoo. At this leg, the 2K ends and walkers return to Pick ‘n Save. The 5K walkers will continue on around the large animal drive at the zoo and then head back to Pick ‘n Save.
Walkers are challenged to come lit up with glow-in-the-dark items. Pick ‘n Save will award prizes for the best lit team of walkers and for the best lit individual. Pick’n Save will provide healthy snacks and water after the walk.
The registration fee is $25 per person.
