MARSHFIELD — On Thursday, Oct. 6, The Hannah Center will host its annual Giving for Life Banquet at RiverEdge Golf Course in Marshfield. The theme this year will be “Stories of Survival.”
The Hannah Center is committed to preserving life, providing a home, and promoting change in each woman served.
“From being their biggest advocate, to providing referrals for other community supports, we are there to guide, praise, and encourage our residents through their difficult journey. The most fulfilling aspect is to be their biggest cheerleader for all the success they achieve along the way,” said Program Coordinator Tricia Fancher.
The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the banquet following. The host for the evening, presented by Thrivent Financial, will be Nate Heeg, and the featured guest speaker will be Holly Hoffman from “Survivor: Nicaragua.” Hoffman will share her story of survival and how The Hannah Center can be the beginning of others’ stories of survival for many years to come.
“Our annual Giving for Life Banquet is the largest fundraiser of the year. The profits from this event will assist The Hannah Center in covering the cost of household expenses such as heat, water, and food. The cost of these expenses as well as maintenance for a home that at most times provides for over three adults and four children is immense,” said Sue Church, president of The Hannah Center’s board of directors.
Tickets for the Giving for Life Banquet can be purchased online at hannahcenter.com or at The Hannah Center office, 212 E. Third St. in Marshfield.
