Marshfield volleyball goes 2-3 at home tournament
Tigers beat Rhinelander and Superior

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield volleyball team finished 2-3 at its home Marshfield Tigers Invitational on Saturday at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse.
The Tigers defeated Rhinelander 25-22, 25-20 and Superior 25-12, 25-23, before dropping their final three matches. Marshfield lost to Altoona 25-23, 25-15; Wauwatosa West 25-19, 19-25, 15-11; and Medford 25-20, 25-21.
Stephanie Rhodes had 46 kills and nine blocks; Maureen Cassidy had six aces and 56 digs; and Anna Ripp had 92 assists, six aces, and 41 digs for Marshfield. Alexa Aumann added 30 kills, and Karly Nikolai also had nine blocks for the Tigers.
Marshfield opens its Wisconsin Valley Conference schedule Thursday at home against Stevens Point.
