MARSHFIELD — Recently crowned Fairest of the Fair, Sierra Huser will be on hand to host the 2016 Central Wisconsin State Fair held Aug. 31 through Sept. 5 at the Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.

Huser is a student at UW-River Falls, majoring in agricultural studies. She vied with three other candidates — John Hartman, Miranda Mitchell, and Jordyn Taylor — to earn the Fairest of the Fair title.

“After application submission, contestants were put through a panel judging, which capped off with a final prepared question and final spotlight question at the coronation,” explained Fairest of the Fair committee member Brenda Hansen.

Also crowned at the coronation ceremony were Fairest of the Fair first runner-up Hartman, Junior Fair Ambassador Kendra Bores, and first runner-up Alysha Bauer.

Over the next year, Huser will serve as spokesperson for the Central Wisconsin State Fair.

Attendees can meet Huser at the Build-a-Crown with the Fairest of the Fair event held Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. at the ice arena on the Central Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.
