Stevens Point wins second leg of CloverValley Golf League tournament

Marshfield’s Megan Vandehey finishes 24th

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Marshfield sophomore Megan Vandehey shot a 66 and finished in 24th place at the second leg of the Clover Valley Golf League tournament on Tuesday at Ridges Golf Course on Tuesday.

Vandehey was the lone Marshfield golfer to compete at the event.

Stevens Point’s Mary McDonald shot a 38 to win medalist honors by five shots over teammate Jessica Barber and Wisconsin Rapids’ Cierra Botcher.

Point won the team title with a score of 180, finishing 14 shots ahead of Stanley-Boyd.

The third leg of the tournament is Sept. 8 at Osseo Golf Club with Osseo-Fairchild serving as the host.
