Auburndale volleyball dominates Pittsville in Marawood South opener

Jensen tops Apaches with 12 kills

AUBURNDALE — The Auburndale volleyball team made quick work of Pittsville, rolling to a 3-0 win in the Marawood Conference South Division opener for both teams on Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

Auburndale won 25-14, 25-7, 25-12 as it had only 12 hitting errors in the three sets.

Cindy Jensen had 12 kills to lead the Apaches’ offense. Setter Mackenzie Raab serving up 13 assists, Teryn Lau had nine service aces, and Alexis Soppe and Rachael Bolder each added six aces as Auburndale dominated play.

The Apaches host Abbotsford in a nonconference match Thursday at 7 p.m.
