James J. Hable, 1940-2016
James J. Hable, 75, Pittsville, died, surrounded by his family on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield.
A visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 7 p.m. at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville where Rev. Jesse Burish will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m.
James was born on Dec. 21, 1940 in Marshfield to Joseph and Elizabeth (Neuman) Hable. He received his education at Maryheart Catholic High School in Pittsville. He was united in marriage to Paulette J. Michalik on Oct. 29, 1966 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville.
Jim began driving for Cepress Trucking, Arpin and then drove for Brandl Trucking in Marshfield. He then was employed for a time at Weyerhaeuser Company, Marshfield and Consolidated Papers, Biron Division. He then became employed at Roehl Transport, resuming his trucking career from 1967 until his retirement in 2006 after 40 years. While driving truck over 2 million miles during his life, he received many driving awards.
He enjoyed watching stock car racing and wrenching on his nephews cars, snowmobiling, bicycling and farming and had a great love for nature. He also enjoyed traveling in the mountains of the western states.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette and their daughter, Keri (Kelly) Kolar of Pittsville and 3 grandsons, Kyle, Alec and Aiden. He is also survived by his siblings, Jeanette (Paul) Langreck of Marshfield, Daniel (Claudia) Hable and Sandy (Larry) Reigel, all of Pittsville and in-laws, Allan (Carol) Michalik of O’Fallon, MO, Marleen Michalik of Branson, MO, Sharon Koch of Rudolph and Cliff (Jan) Michalik of Marshfield, and many nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his beloved dog, Holly.
Jim was predeceased by his parents, and 2 brothers-in-law, John Koch and Carl Bowden.
The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
