Eileen J. Darr, 76, Pittsville, died on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at House of the Dove, Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Jon Guenther officiating. Burial will take place in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time all at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Eileen was born on June 5, 1940 in Colby, Wisconsin, to William and Irene (Dittmeyer) Theilig and was a graduate of Colby High School. She was baptized and confirmed in faith at Green Grove Lutheran Church, Town of Green Grove, Clark County. She also was united in marriage to Ralph W. Darr on April 30, 1960 at Green Grove Lutheran Church.

After their marriage the Darrs lived in the Milton, Wisconsin area and in 1989 they moved to the Town of Wood, Wood County, where she resided until the present time.

Eileen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and feeding and watching the birds.

She is survived by her husband, Ralph, and their sons, Kenneth (Melissa) Darr of Pittsville and Michael (Sally) Darr of Milton. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Allie Reinikainen, William Darr, Morgan Darr and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Darr. She is further survived by 4 sisters, Shirley Eggergleuss of Schofield, Darlene Dehn of Shawano, Donna (Dale) Geiger of Dorchester and Marcy (Dale) Gebert of Hazelhurst.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, David, a brother in infancy, a sister, Etta Mae in infancy, and brothers, Carl, Donald and William Theilig, Jr.

The family will designate a memorial in Eileen’s name at a later date.
