MARSHFIELD — As Marshfield’s temperatures begin to dip below the 70s, downtown partners are planning for the autumn season.
“This is our second year running the Main Street Planter Sponsorship Program,” said Danielle Winer, sales and marketing director at Mill Creek Gardens. “Mill Creek Gardens partnered with Main Street Marshfield last year in an attempt to continue to beautify our main street through the fall and winter months.
“Marshfield has an active and vibrant downtown with many great businesses. We hope that this sponsorship program adds to the welcoming atmosphere of downtown Marshfield.”
Program directors are currently seeking sponsors to contribute to the fall and winter atmosphere of the city’s downtown. The contribution cost will support the care of downtown planters through the Christmas holiday season.
“The cost of sponsoring the fall mum arrangement and holiday arrangement is $100,” added Winer. “The fall mum arrangement includes three large mums and one grass.
“Mums will be planted mid-September. The Christmas display will include either a lighted tree with boughs and holly berries or a bough arrangement with holly berries, dogwood, and pine cones.”
Sponsors are recognized with a sign placed in the planter as well as in online and local media venues.
“This program is important because it not only beautifies our community but allows small business owners and community members to contribute to the tight-knit Marshfield community,” explained Winer.
Sponsorships may be completed as memorials or as an individual or business. Contact Danielle Winer at 715-591-2000 or [email protected] for more information. The deadline for sponsorship is Sept. 2.
