Columbus Catholic soccer rolls to title at Central Wisconsin Christian tournament
Dons shut out all three opponents

WAUPUN — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team dominated the competition at the Crusader Kickoff Classic at Central Wisconsin Christian High School this past weekend, shutting out three opponents to win the tournament championship.
Columbus Catholic beat Hustisford/Dodgeland 6-0, Waupun 3-0, and Central Wisconsin Christian 4-0.
Nadim Torbey scored just eight seconds into the opening game Friday to give the Dons an early lead. Alex Giles, Evan Dieringer, Noah Hansen, Ryan Dieringer, and Calvin Brown added goals for Columbus. Ryan Dieringer had three assists, and Charles Payant had another for Columbus.
Payant scored twice, and Torbey added another in the win over Waupun. Ryan Dieringer and Tyler Fuerlinger had assists for the Dons.
Giles scored twice, and Brown and Payant also hit the back of the net in the title game against CWC. Torbey, Ryan Dieringer, and Brown had assists.
Columbus Catholic (4-0) opens its Mid-State Soccer Conference schedule Monday at Wisconsin Valley Lutheran.
