For Hub City Times

MARSHFIELD — Marshfield is about midway through updating the Comprehensive Plan — the city’s master plan for the future — and the city’s Development Services Department is providing an opportunity for the public to be involved in the planning process. The Comprehensive Plan is updated every 10 years, so this is a unique opportunity to share your input with city officials.

The Marshfield Senior Community Center will be hosting a forum on Aug. 29 from 10:30 a.m. to noon with Marshfield City Planner Josh Miller to get feedback, focusing on issues impacting area senior citizens. Questions discussed during the forum may include but are not limited to the following:

—What do you find appealing about the city of Marshfield and a community in general?

—What would you like to change about your community or neighborhood?

—What are your biggest concerns about where you live and spend your leisure time?

Responses to these and other community-based topics that may come up during the discussion will provide valuable feedback in updating the Comprehensive Plan. Community is vital to the growth and development of Marshfield. All are welcome to attend.

For more information about the upcoming forum, contact Josh Miller at 715-486-2075 or josh.miller@ci.marshfield.wi.us.

(Editor’s note: The version of this story in the Aug. 27 edition of the Hub City Times did not include the date or time of the forum. This version has been amended to remedy that omission.)
