CADOTT — The Marshfield girls golf team opened its season with the first of eight CloverValley Golf League meets on Wednesday at Whispering Pines Golf Course. The meet was hosted by Stanley-Boyd.

Marshfield has just two golfers on its team this season and will forgo the team competition.

Junior Roma Shah shot a 56, and sophomore Megan Vandehey had a 67 for the Tigers in their opening meets.

Savannah Anderson of Stanley-Boyd and Mary McDonald of Stevens Point tied for medalist honors with 41s as Point topped Stanley-Boyd by two in the team standings.

The second leg of the tournament is Tuesday at The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
