MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic soccer team rolled to a 7-2 victory over Gresham in a nonconference game to open its season Tuesday at Griese Park.

The Dons dominated, outshooting Gresham 48-14 overall and 27-10 on goal.

Bailey Keffer and Jose Martin each had four saves in goal for Columbus.

Calvin Brown scored off an assist from Charles Payant just 1:17 into the contest, Alex Giles added a pair of goals, and Nadim Torbey also scored for the Dons before halftime.

Nick Malovrh scored two goals, and Evan Dieringer connected on one in the second half for the Dons. Dieringer also had three assists, and Tyler Fuerlinger had a helper as well.

Columbus will play at the Central Wisconsin Christian Tournament in Waupun on Friday and Saturday.
