Two lanes of Central Avenue from Second Street to 20th Street will be closed as crews clean and reseal the crosswalks and medians.

By Tom Turchi

City Engineer

MARSHFIELD — Beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 22, the inside lanes of Central Avenue from Second Street to 20th Street will be closed to traffic. This will reduce Central Avenue to one lane for northbound and southbound traffic.

The closures are necessary to clean and reseal the crosswalks and medians. The closure of the medians will occur from Second Street to 14th Street. All intersections throughout the project will remain open to one lane of traffic in each direction.

This work is expected to take approximately one week. Following the completion of the inside lane work, the outside lanes will be closed.

If there are question concerning this or other traffic control matters within the city, contact the engineering division at 715-486-2034.
