Bernice R. Mullins, 90, Marshfield, died on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Eric Berns officiating. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield.

Bernice was born on Sept. 3, 1925 in Marathon City, to Emil and Gertrude (Kubale) Wimmer. She was united in marriage to John E. “Jack” Mullins on April 16, 1945 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Edgar, Wisconsin. He died on May 9, 1997.

Bernice had been a licensed cheese maker and she and her husband founded Mullins Cheese which they owned and operated. She continued to do the bookwork for the business until the age of 88. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Bernice is survived by 2 daughters, Lois (Mike) Ploen and Shirley (Jerry) Geldernick, all of Marshfield, and 3 sons, Don (Londa) Mullins and Bill (Mary) Mullins, all of Mosinee and Ray (Connie) Mullins of Marshfield. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 expected in October. She is further survived by a sister, Audrey Krase of Sheboygan Falls.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband and 3 granddaughters in infancy.

The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
