LeRoy M. Wellner, 87, Marshfield, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Tomah V.A. Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, where the visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until service time. Rev. James Logan will officiate. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery where military rites will be Conducted by the American Legion Post 54.

LeRoy was born on October 29, 1928 in Lindsey, Wisconsin, to Anton and Rose (Kolbeck) Wellner and attended Lindsey schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He married Nancy C. Glinski on January 3, 1953 in Marshfield. She passed away on December 23, 2010.

LeRoy had been employed in sales at Bauman Automotive in Marshfield, for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time at the cabin.

He is survived by his daughter, Patti (Dan) White of Pardeeville and granddaughters, Haley and Jessica Wellner. He is also survived by a brother, Al (Janet) Wellner of Marshfield and a sister, Helen Phillippi of Pittsville.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, a daughter, Jodi, a son, Thomas, brothers, Ray and Elmer Wellner, and sisters, Margaret Bell, Clara Katzenberger, and Katherine Peterson.

The family will designate a memorial in LeRoy’s name at a later date.
