MARSHFIELD — This August, for the fourth year in a row, award-winning Galway band We Banjo 3 brings its Irish and Americana and bluegrass music to Chestnut Center for the Arts. The quartet takes center stage in the historic Performance Hall on Aug. 11 at 7:30 p.m.

We Banjo 3’s Enda and Fergal Scahill and Martin and David Howley are among the most celebrated and distinguished young musicians in Ireland today. Featuring banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, vocals, and percussion, We Banjo 3 makes a bold and extraordinary musical statement. The band plays with swing and soul, combining the best of Irish and bluegrass banjo music and song.

To learn more about and hear the band, visit webanjo3.com, or listen to the band’s in-studio performance and interview from WPR’s Simply Folk earlier this year at wpr.org/we-banjo-3-1.

Advance tickets for $15 can be purchased until noon on Aug. 9 by calling 715-389-8999 or emailing office@chestnutarts.org. Tickets are $20 at the door. Chestnut Center for the Arts is located in downtown Marshfield at the corner of Third Street and Chestnut Avenue.
