MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Area United Way wants to equip local students with supplies needed to be successful in the upcoming school year. The Supplies 4 Success backpack and school supply drive began on July 25 and will end on Aug. 14.
Several area businesses are serving as drop-off locations for donations, including Associated Bank, Chestnut Avenue and Festival Foods locations; BMO Harris Bank, Fourth Street and North Central Avenue locations; Century 21 Realty; Citizens State Bank; Endless Designs; First Choice Credit Union; Heritage Bank; the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Marshfield Area United Way; Marshfield Clinic; RiverEdge Golf Course; Simplicity Credit Union; Target; and Tricor Insurance. A list of school supplies needed for donation is available and can be printed from the United Way website at marshfieldareaunitedway.org.
Last year, with the community’s help, United Way provided backpacks and school supplies to 686 students from nine area school districts, including Marshfield, Auburndale, Granton, Greenwood, Loyal, Pittsville, Neillsville, Spencer, and Stratford.
