Upcoming offerings from Marshfield Parks & Rec

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department is offering the following programs:

—Fall soccer for children in grades kindergarten through six will be held Sundays, Aug.14 – Oct. 2 at Griese Park. The registration deadline is July 17.

—Skateboard lessons for ages 8 and up will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from July 25 – Aug. 3 at the Marshfield Skatepark.

—A summer trip to Milwaukee County Zoo will take place on Aug. 9. A coach bus will depart from Marshfield at 7:30 a.m. and return at 8 p.m.

—Tennis lessons for those ages 4 and up will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from July 11-27.

—A junior basketball camp for grades two to eight will be held July 11-12 and July 14-15.

—Golf camp for ages 9 to 15 will be July 26-29 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Marshfield County Club. Lunches are provided.

—The Marshfield Parks & Recreation Department, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Parks & Recreation Association (WPRA), is selling tickets to area attractions and theme parks at discounted rates throughout the summer. For a list of tickets and prices, visit ci.marshfield.wi.us, go to the Parks & Recreation page, and click on “WPRA Ticket Prices.”

Those interested in learning more about any of these activities should call the Parks & Recreation office at 715-384-4642, ext 0. You may register for classes at the Parks & Recreation office at 630 S. Central Avenue, Suite 201R, or online at ci.marshfield.wi.us. Click on “Departments,” “Parks & Recreation,” and then “Online Registration.”
