Road closure notice: Weister Court to close for sewer replacement
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Street Division is scheduling to begin the sanitary sewer replacement portion of the Weister Court reconstruction. Prior to beginning the sewer portion, the blacktop surface and topsoil will need to be removed. This work is currently scheduled to occur June 16. During the removal there may be times of limited access, but driveways should be accessible upon completion.
Utility locates and grade hubs may be placed adjacent to area property. The street division asks that these items not be removed by property owners. The street division will remove them when the work is complete.
Beginning June 20 at 7 a.m., construction will begin in the Hemlock Avenue-Weister Court intersection and work towards the Weister cul-de-sac. As the work is completed, temporary water outages may occur.
During this time the intersection of Hemlock Avenue and Weister Court will be closed along with all of Weister Court. The sewer replacement will require the street to be closed for multiple days. Access to residential driveways will not be allowed. Residents will need to find alternative parking locations on adjacent streets unaffected. If the weather is favorable, parking is allowed in the city-owned lot on the southeast corner of Eighth Street and Hemlock Avenue. The street division asks that those affected remove any vehicles that may be needed over the course of the construction before 7 a.m. on June 20.
The schedule will change if unfavorable weather conditions or unforeseen issues arise.
Contact the street division at 715-486-2081 with any questions.
