Blue Devils now 4-1, play at Plover on Tuesday

LA CROSSE — The top four in the batting order went a combined 10-for-17 and scored 10 times as the Marshfield Clinic Post 54 Senior American Legion baseball team rolled to a 12-2 victory over La Crosse on Monday night.

Bobby Pilz and Jack Donahue each had three hits, and Nate McDonald and Trevor Schwecke both had two for the Blue Devils, who had 17 hits in all.

Paul Maguire and Hunter Luepke also had a pair of hits each for Marshfield, Luepke and Donahue both had three RBIs, and Pilz scored four times in the win.

Jake Brueggen allowed two hits over five innings to earn the victory on the mound for the Blue Devils (4-1).

Marshfield plays at Plover in its Wisconsin Valley Legion League opener Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Field.
