Columbus Catholic’s Hutchison, Marshfield’s Wojt compete at Senior All-Star Spotlight Track Meet
Hutchison wins girls 200, 800 relay

DUBUQUE, Iowa — Marshfield Columbus Catholic senior Alexandra Hutchison and Marshfield senior Calden Wojt wrapped up their stellar prep track careers at the Senior All-Star Spotlight Meet on Saturday at the University of Dubuque.
Hutchison, a three-time 200-meter WIAA Division 3 girls state champion at Columbus, competed for Team Wisconsin and helped lead the girls team to a victory over Team Iowa and Team Illinois in the 18th year of the annual event.
Hutchison, a Winona State (Minn.) University recruit, won the 200 meters with a time of 25.83 seconds and was part of the winning 800-meter relay team, along with Maggie Durni of Platteville and Jaliyah Elliott and Shynia Summerville of Beloit Memorial, which won in 1:43.77.
The Wisconsin girls team won with a score of 89 points, Iowa was second with 78, and Illinois third with 5. The Wisconsin boys team also won, scoring 103 points. Illinois had 57, and Iowa finished with 20.
Wojt, who placed third in the Division 1 boys 200 meters at the WIAA state track meet last weekend, placed ninth in the boys 200, finishing in a time of 23.40. Caleb Ogden of Team Wisconsin (Oak Creek) won the event in 22.06 seconds.
Wojt also competed as part of Wisconsin’s second-place 800-meter relay team. He was joined by Parker Gloudemans of Little Chute, Aaron Zmolek of Holmen, and Jake Schneider of Plymouth.
