Chaparrals baseball blanks Westboro
Spaeth, Schwanebeck combine on three-hit shutout

MARSHFIELD — Drew Spaeth and Sam Schwanebeck combined on a three-hit shutout as the Marshfield Chaparrals baseball team beat Westboro 6-0 in a Dairyland League game Sunday at Jack Hackman Field.
The Chaparrals (2-1 overall and Dairyland League) pounded out 15 hits in the win. Six different players had two each.
Spaeth struck out 11 in six innings, and Schwanbeck wrapped up the shutout with three strikeouts and three innings of relief.
Ryan Metz had a pair of RBIs for Marshfield.
The Chaps play a non-league game at Everest on Wednesday before hosting Tomahawk on Friday night at Hackman Field.
