OWEN-WITHEE — Owen-Withee scored three runs in its final two at-bats to edge Marshfield Columbus Catholic 8-5 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division baseball game Friday.

Columbus Catholic tied the game at 5-5 with a run in the top of the fifth before the Blackhawks pulled away with a run in the bottom of the inning and two more in the sixth.

Billy Young suffered the loss for the Dons (6-8, 6-7 Cloverbelt East), striking out three and allowing 11 hits and three walks in a complete-game effort.

Brett Loveland had two of Columbus Catholic’s four hits against Owen-Withee pitcher Kole Karaba, who walked 11 but struck out seven.

Columbus Catholic is off until May 23 when it finishes its regular season with a doubleheader at Greenwood.
