MARSHFIELD — The National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive will be Saturday, May 14. It is the largest, one-day food drive in the nation. Though it is a nationwide food drive, a donation in Marshfield will help local food pantries.

By this time of year, many food pantries’ resources are low as they receive the majority of their donations during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons. This puts strain on the pantries during the summer months.

Participating in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is simple. Leave a nonperishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox on May 14 for your letter carrier to pick up on that day.

Volunteers are needed to help with the food drive on Saturday and for a few days following the event to sort donations. Please contact Soup or Socks at 715-387-1796 or [email protected] if you are interested in volunteering.
