Hot Stevens Point bats too much for Marshfield softball

Panthers, unbeaten in WVC, connect for 20 hits in win

MARSHFIELD — Stevens Point pounded out 20 hits, including five for extra bases, to beat Marshfield 14-4 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference softball game Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Jordan Kawlewski went 4-for-6 with a double, a triple, and four RBIs for the Panthers (15-2 overall, 8-0 Wisconsin Valley Conference).

Stevens Point had two doubles and three triples in the win.

Emily Draeger and Megan Donahue each had a pair of hits for Marshfield, which is now 6-8 overall and 2-4 in the conference.

Marshfield hosts Wausau West at 4:30 p.m. Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
