Tigers finish third in team standings

WESTON — Calden Wojt won the 100 and 400 meters for the Marshfield boys track team, which finished third at the four-team D.C. Everest Boys Track Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

Wojt won the 100 in 11.46 seconds and the 400 in 51.06 seconds for the Tigers. He also finished second in the 200 22.61 seconds, just 1/100 of a second behind D.C. Everest’s Nick Kohnhorst.

Carter Chojnacki was third in the 3,200 (10:48.52), and Marshfield also had fourth-place finishes from Michal Pachal in the high jump (5 feet), Adam Elhendy-Gunnarsson in the long jump (18-9), and Nate Beyer in the triple jump (37-6) and 110-meter hurdles (17.49 seconds).

The Tigers 3,200 relay (8:53.95) and 400 relay (47.39) teams finished second.

Marshfield will be back at D.C. Everest on Tuesday to compete in the Wisconsin Valley Conference Relays.
