MOSINEE — Mosinee managed just one hit but rode the arm of pitcher Megan Soukup to a 1-0 victory over Marshfield in a nonconference softball game Friday.

Bailey Schultz had Mosinee’s only hit and scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the first inning.

Marshfield (6-7) pitcher Megan Donahue gave up just the one hit but walked six. She also struck out 14 and had one of the Tigers’ six hits.

Soukup struck out three and did not walk a batter to earn the shutout win for Mosinee (7-1).

Marshfield is off until Thursday when it hosts Stevens Point at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
