Bryan, 1,600 relay take titles for Marshfield at Everest Girls Track Invitational

WESTON – Meg Bryan won the triple jump and the 1,600 relay team also took first as the Marshfield girls track team placed sixth at the seven-team D.C. Everest Girls Track Invitational on Friday at Stiehm Stadium.

Bryan, a sophomore, won the triple jump with a leap of 34 feet, 9½ inches for the Tigers’ lone individual title.

Marshfield’s 1,600-meter relay team of Alexa Aumann, Dani Bender, Courtney Brown and Mariah Goeppinger won in 4:21.5.

The Tigers also had one second- and one third-place finish.

Marshfield’s 800 relay team of Brown, Bryan, Aumann and Angelina Dunomes was second in 1:51.68, and Amy Martorano was third in the discus with a toss of 95-11.

Eau Claire Memorial won the team title with 651 points. Marshfield was sixth with 395, just three behind fifth-place Wausau East.

Marshfield will compete at the Wood County Invitational at Pittsville on Monday.
