By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

COLBY — Calvin Lenz tossed a six-inning complete-game shutout as the Spencer baseball team won its sixth game in a row to start the season Friday, pounding Colby 14-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup at Colby High School.

Lenz struck out six and walked one, allowing just three hits. Spencer won the game via the 10-run rule after scoring four runs in the fifth and five more in the sixth inning.

Hunter Luepke had four hits and five RBIs, Lenz added a double, and Bobby Pilz walked four times and stole three bases for the Rockets (6-0, 5-0 Cloverbelt East).

Spencer plays a nonconference game at Prentice on Monday.
