STRATFORD – Hunter Luepke hit a three-run home run and tossed five innings of one-hit ball to lead the Spencer baseball team to a 4-0 victory over Stratford in a nonconference matchup Saturday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.

Spencer led 1-0 before Luepke’s blast broke the game open for the Rockets, who improve to 3-0.

Cole Hoffmann suffered the loss for Stratford (0-2), giving up four runs and three hits in five innings.

Spencer hosts Greenwood on Monday, while Stratford is off until Friday when it plays at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
